Reed and Nicole have been best friends since pre-school and use their complementary talents to write a series of children’s books.
Reed is a Registered Psychotherapist with a BA in English from McGill University and an M.Ed. from the University of Toronto. After her undergraduate, Reed worked in public relations for a national organization where she wrote and edited two workbooks for youth, one in collaboration with Scouts Canada for children 5-12 and the other for teens. She is a member of Rate Your Story, Children’s Insider, 12×12, SCBWI, and two kidlit critique groups. Last year she was a finalist in Susanna Hill’s Halloweenie PB Writing Contest and an honourable mention for BirthdayBirthday PB Writing Contest.
Nicole has a BA in Art History from the University of Victoria and continued to develop her artistic talents at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design. She is a mother of three and lives with her children, husband and dog in North Vancouver.
Both Reed and Nicole are members of the SCBWI.
